Neil Tunmore is one of six certified candidates for Lake Oswego City Council in the Nov. 3, 2026, general election. Voters may select four candidates. The three highest vote-getters will serve four-year terms, and the fourth will fill a two-year vacancy beginning in January 2027, according to the city's certified list.
The other candidates are Bryan Guiney, Heather Ramsey, Patrick Walsh, Peren Tiemann and Suzanne Miles. The election is nonpartisan.
Tunmore's campaign biography describes a 37-year career at Intel, including service as a finance controller and vice president. It says he retired in 2018 and has since consulted on wastewater and solar-energy construction projects and managed house construction. Those career descriptions are attributed to his campaign.
His platform emphasizes oversight of taxpayer-funded construction and long-term financial planning. The campaign names the North Anchor, South Shore fire station, sewer treatment facility and library among projects requiring careful stewardship.
Tunmore says the city should comply with state housing requirements while maintaining local building standards and neighborhood character. He supports maintaining infrastructure, planning for population growth and transportation changes, and improving safe walking routes near schools.
His recreation proposals include replacing grass with turf on sports fields to improve winter use, while supporting parks, arts and recreation facilities. These are campaign proposals rather than adopted city policies.
