Patti Adair is running for Oregon’s 5th Congressional District in the Nov. 3, 2026 general election. The Secretary of State’s qualified-candidate filings list her on the Republican and Libertarian lines, alongside Democrat Janelle S. Bynum and Pacific Green candidate Andrea T. Townsend.
Adair’s campaign biography identifies her as a Deschutes County commissioner who was elected in 2018 and reelected in 2022. She says she grew up near Heppner, attended the University of Oregon, earned a CPA license from Central Washington University and worked as an auditor and accountant at Moss Adams.
Her campaign priorities include affordability, support for law enforcement and small businesses, and sustainable natural-resource management. She proposes making federal tax exclusions for tips, overtime and Social Security permanent, increasing their limits and expanding the Child Tax Credit.
Adair also supports banning congressional insider trading and congressional pay during government shutdowns. She proposes requiring technology companies to disclose data centers’ effects on air, water and electricity costs.
