Peren Tiemann is one of six certified candidates for Lake Oswego City Council in the Nov. 3, 2026, general election. The city's certified list says voters may choose four candidates. The three highest vote-getters will serve four-year terms, and the fourth will fill a two-year vacancy beginning in January 2027.

The other candidates are Bryan Guiney, Heather Ramsey, Neil Tunmore, Patrick Walsh and Suzanne Miles. The council contest is nonpartisan.

Tiemann's campaign biography describes attending Lewis & Clark Law School after earning a public administration degree. It also describes earlier service on Lake Oswego's Youth Leadership Council and later on the city's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Board. These biographical descriptions are attributed to the campaign.

The campaign platform calls for greater emergency preparedness, support for first responders and plans to preserve natural areas. It also proposes maintaining roads and pathways, improving walking and cycling access, and pursuing long-term budget stability.

On housing, Tiemann favors exploring options such as rental assistance, subsidized programs and zoning changes to improve affordability. Transportation proposals include working with regional transit providers and studying local shuttle options.

Tiemann also advocates broader access to libraries, recreation and community gathering spaces, stronger support for residents who speak languages other than English, and additional opportunities for public input. These are campaign proposals rather than adopted city policies.
