West Linn High School hosted Wilsonville in a Unified Soccer match, with the West Linn-Wilsonville School District posting a video reel of the game on Instagram on Friday, Sept. 18.

Unified Sports pair students with learning differences alongside general education students on the same team. The program is one of several inclusive practices across the district, according to a wlhsNOW feature published in April.

The district said both teams showed off their skills and had fun on the field, and thanked the crowd that turned out to support the athletes.

Junior Joanna Landazuri and senior Sophie Maher were among the West Linn players.

The student newspaper published a photo of the two embracing in a high five after scoring a goal.

No score has been published. In last year's version of the same matchup, Wilsonville edged West Linn 10-8 on Oct. 7, 2025.
