Lila Rollins, 18, of Oregon City beat three competitors to win the National American Miss Oregon Teen title Sept. 7 at the Hyatt Regency in Bellevue, Washington.

The win, first reported by Oregon City News Online, sends Rollins to the National American Miss (NAM) nationals in Orlando, Florida. The Teen division runs Nov. 22–29. She is raising about $10,000 in sponsorships to fund the trip.

Rollins is a page at the West Linn Public Library and the daughter of West Linn Police Chief Oddis Rollins.

"It was an actual crazy moment … and when I bent down to put the crown on … it was a surreal moment, a moment I'd been working for the last 14 months," Rollins told Oregon City News Online.

The win caps a fast rise. Rollins entered her first pageant just a year ago, the 2025 NAM Oregon Teen event, and finished as fourth runner-up. She then spent 14 months in intensive interview and presentation training with pageant coach Chris Montgomery, whom she credited as her biggest help.

Her entry into pageants was almost accidental. A mailer arrived unsolicited and was thrown away. Her mother photographed it and texted the image to Rollins while she was working at the West Linn Public Library. Rollins, who missed her friends at North Clackamas Christian and wanted a new activity, decided to attend an open call in Portland.

The Sept. 5–7 competition judged contestants in four categories: community service, personal introduction, formal wear and interview. For community service, Rollins highlighted more than 100 volunteer hours over four years at Bloomin' Boutique, an Oregon City nonprofit that provides new clothing, shoes, bedding and personal care items to children across Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington counties.

In her personal introduction, Rollins talked about her early-college path. She attended Clackamas Web Academy in an early college program and graduated with 64 college credits. She is preparing for her freshman year at Clackamas Community College.

The interview phase, which Rollins called her strongest, asked how she celebrates success. Her answer: a Disneyland trip with her family, where she and her father recently marked their 18th and 50th birthdays.

Rollins' goal at nationals is to reach the top 12. The 2025 winner, Kaydence Mckuhn, placed the crown on Rollins at the Sept. 7 ceremony.
