Lake Oswego residents can hear from the six City Council candidates at a free forum Thursday, Oct. 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 380 A Ave.
Organizer LO for LOve says students will moderate the discussion about the candidates’ priorities and their ideas for an inclusive, equitable and environmentally sustainable community. LO for LOve, Respond to Racism and the Lake Oswego Sustainability Network are hosting the event.
The candidates listed by the organizers are Bryan Guiney, Suzanne Miles, Heather Ramsey, Peren Tiemann, Neil Tunmore and Patrick Walsh.
Admission is free. Organizers request an RSVP through the event page to estimate attendance. There will be no livestream, but people who RSVP will receive access to a recording afterward.
The city’s election information confirms that voters will fill four council seats Nov. 3. The three candidates receiving the most votes will serve four-year terms beginning Jan. 1, 2027. The fourth-place candidate will fill the remaining two years of the vacancy created by Councilor Rapf’s April resignation.
Responses are based on public data and answers to a Surround Sound Media questionnaire if they were provided.
