The Lake Oswego Farmers' Market is marking its 25th season at Millennium Plaza Park, with a 220-vendor roster so popular that organizers turned away about 120 additional applicants for 2026.

The market launched in 2001 when the park and community center first opened as a way to draw residents downtown.

It operates 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. every Saturday at 200 First Street through Oct. 31, with five August dates on the calendar: Aug. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. Admission is free.

City Event and Farmers' Market Manager Shelley Burgess told the Lake Oswego Review in May that the market's lakeside setting and central downtown position have fueled its longevity, calling it "a community gathering space" for Saturday mornings.

On any given Saturday, shoppers will find 85 to 90 adult vendor booths selling produce, seafood, cheeses, artisan breads, prepared foods, flowers, and handmade goods.

New vendors and young entrepreneurs

Among the new additions for 2026 is Wild Geese Farm, which organizers describe as the only farm based in Lake Oswego, growing sustainably produced vegetables at Luscher Farm. Other newcomers include Albinelli Blends, a hand-blended balsamic vinegar and olive oil vendor, a veteran-owned Willamette Valley winery, and a bakery specializing in traditional Persian sweets, according to the community site Love Lake Oswego.

The market also hosts about 15 businesses run by high school students through its Young Entrepreneurs program, which launched in 2024 and is open to students in grades 9 through 12.

One or two student booths operate alongside adult vendors each week, Burgess told the Lake Oswego Review in June.

SNAP matching and family programs

Shoppers using SNAP benefits can receive up to $20 in matching funds each week, according to the city's market page. Live music plays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every Saturday, and the Farm Fresh Kids Program offers activities for younger visitors.
