Oregon City residents can pick up hands-on earthquake and wildfire preparedness tips at a free fair on Saturday, Sept. 19, at Danielson Hilltop Mall.

NW Natural is bringing its annual "Get Ready" event to 358 Warner Milne Road from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event is part of a regional series the utility runs each September during National Preparedness Month, according to The NewsGuard.

Attendees can talk with local emergency experts about preparing for earthquakes, wildfires and power outages. The fair will also feature food, games and prizes.

NW Natural partners each year with local fire departments and public agencies to stage the events across Oregon and Washington.

The Oregon City fair is free and open to the public.
