Lakewood Theatre Company opens its holiday season with "Irving Berlin's White Christmas," running Nov. 6 through Dec. 20 in Lake Oswego.

The musical takes the stage at the Lakewood Center for the Arts, 368 S. State St. It features 17 Irving Berlin songs and a book by David Ives and Paul Blake, according to the West Linn Tidings. The show is based on the 1954 film starring Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye.

The story follows two World War II veterans, Bob Wallace and Phil Davis, who build a successful song-and-dance act. The pair chase two sisters to a Vermont lodge for a Christmas show and discover their former commanding officer owns the place. The theater company called it a heart-warming holiday favorite in a press release.

Stage director Dan Murphy leads the production. Cyndy Ramsey-Rier serves as musical director and conductor, and Laura Hiszczynskyj choreographs.

Logan Bailey and Riley Parham play the leads, Bob Wallace and Phil Davis. Melissa Gale and Lorna Baxter take on the roles of sisters Betty and Judy Haynes. Greg Prosser rounds out the principal cast as General Henry Waverly, the lodge-owning former commander.

The ensemble cast brings the total to 22 performers, according to the theater company's preview materials. Danny Caputo, Nick Serrone, Majd Murad, Melissa Standley, Malia Fuller and Chynna Rae Shurts fill out the supporting roles. Younger cast members include Hanna Foshay, Tate Foshay, Audrey Mae Harris, Kate Potter, Emerson T. Skogen and Austyn Stone.

The creative team also includes scenic designer John Gerth, lighting designer Ian Anderson-Priddy, costume designer Janelle Sutton, sound designer Michael Bard, prop master Allen R. Phillips and stage manager Grant M. Christnacht.
